Snoopy was born in the 1950s. As a comic strip, Peanuts, drawn by Charles Schulz is about Charlie Brown, his best friend and pet, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus, Sally, Peppermint Patty, Shroeder, Marcie and the whole gang of kids. Snoopy himself has his pal, the bird Woodstock. Snoopy's brothers are Spike, Olaf and Andy. Spike lives in the desert and talks to his pet cactus.

Snoopy is a very imaginative pet dog who sleeps on the roof of his kennel. He often imagines he is the Red Baron, and his kennel is his airplane. Although the entire strip is about kids, the philosophies and their comments are rather grown up. At times, wiser than most grown ups in the real world.

Snoopy watches the world from his perspective. To him. Charlie Brown is his servant whose duty is to ensure he gets his food and water at specified times.

An interesting read for adults, appealing to the kids too.
