Tony Stark is Ironman. The superhero with no superpowers. All he has is his formidable brain and the weapons he developed. His suit was created out of necessity, to enable him to escape the clutches of terrorists who wanted his weapons for their own ends.

A total patriot, Tony Stark refused to cooperate. Seeing his weapons used against the very soldiers he intended them to protect, he does an about turn. All that was dramatically portrayed in the Ironman movie.

Iron man is one of Marvel's first superheros. The people factor made this superhero endearing.
